I wanted to register for it when we had Little Man, but forgot and then later found this one at our local Thrift Store, never opened and it felt like a total score (especially for a bleary-eyed mama searching for the small joys).įor the record and note to other mamas, my pediatrician told me at our two-year-old appointment that we could probably get away from pouches. So, I got to digging and found a set of fillable pouches with my Infantino Squeeze Station at the bottom of my pantry. I was really trying to limit the number of times we went to the store and it felt silly to keep buying pouches when I had a shelf of green smoothies in my freezer. Somewhere during quarantine time, Little Man decided he wanted a break from smoothies and just wanted to eat all the pouches. This spring is the first time I really had to just buy frozen fruit to make a full batch. (And, when I rewarded myself with a fancy blender.) He didn’t really stick to the habit, but that was also about the time we were introducing foods to Little Man, and he loved them. I started making them 2 summers ago after my husband broke his ankle and we were looking for foods rich in magnesium for bone regeneration. It is no surprise that we eat a lot of Green Smoothies at our house. For more information visit my Disclosure Statement and Terms & Conditions page. He is not a picky eater, but it’s hard to get past the desire for chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and all the chips. I’m always looking for ways to keep vegetables in our diet and introduce more vegetables to my toddler. This new recipe for Green Smoothie Toddler Food Pouches is a throwback to our summer discovery of Green Smoothies ( version 1 and version 2).
